This was actually our first trip to Maine (working, that is--we'd been there a few times on vacation).  We did a wonderful house concert at Martin Swinger's house in Augusta  (Martin is a great singer/songwriter), and Chris Darling's radio show on WMPG in Portland.   We also ran into our friend Mindy--we know her from countless Folk Alliance conferences (that's a big folk music trade show we go to every year).  She came over to the radio station and took us out for a Maine-type seafood lunch (that'd be on the lower portion of the postcard).

There were a whole bunch of musical highlights this month in addition to our trip to Maine--in Florida, at one of our favorite festivals, the Gamble Rogers Folk Festival in St. Augustine -- in Rosendale, NY, at Dancing on Air, Jay Ungar and Molly Mason's radio show--at home, doing a show with old friend, Tom Dundee--and to end the month, at the Kerrville Folk Festival,  doing a show at the Threadgill Theater that might have been the best show of the year!  It's on tape--we'll let you know.
